The fantastic is a shock. A shiver running down your spine, a vertigo in the face of the inexplicable. It hits the gut first, before reaching the heart and touching the intellect.
The program
It is this raw intensity that we stage with Fantastic Stories, a program designed as a dive into the heart of our shadow areas, carried by two works composed a century apart:
- 🌑 The Masque of the Red Death — Edgar Allan Poe & André Caplet
- 🌑 La Louve (Op. 25) — Yanowski & Corentin Apparailly
A show where spoken narrative, singing, and orchestral writing intertwine to offer an immersive experience, oscillating between the eerie strangeness of a masquerade ball and the dark poetry of a contemporary fantastic tale.
Two exceptional venues

The Cité de la Musique et de la Danse of Soissons
Designed by architect Henri Gaudin in the heart of Parc Gouraud, this remarkable building offers a setting both noble and modern, ideal for deploying the sonic materials and dramatic relief of this creation.

The Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel of Brussels
A landmark of international musical heritage. It is in the intimate, chiseled acoustics of the Haas Teichen Studio that the project will take on a truly unique dimension the following day.
